Peter Creech

Pete moved to Argyll 14 years ago. Last year, along with his wife Sue, he started the Crown House B&B in Ford. He is the coordinator at Blarbuie Woodlands, a mental health charity/social enterprise in Lochgilphead, and also finds time for some maintenance at Kilmartin Museum, the occasional roofing job and to volunteer for the Scottish Beaver Trial. A keen cyclist, walker, coastal rower, photographer and wildlife enthusiast he can usually be found attached to a bicycle.

“I live within a cycling distance of two National Nature Reserves, the amazing archaeology of Kilmartin Glen, the home of the Scottish beavers and one of the most stunning seascapes in the world. While out and about I’ve encountered red, roe and sika deer, otters, golden eagles, pine martins, hen harriers, red squirrels, barn and tawny owls, seals, foxes and badgers. Strangely though I rarely encounter other cyclists on trails, and amid scenery that is among the very best in Scotland."
