Robbie Baird

Art
Artist and gallerist Robbie Baird lives and works is the village of Tighnabruaich in Argyll’s Secret Coast. Tighnabruaich has been home for 10 years. At 26 years old, he took over the long-established Tighnabruaich Gallery. Robbie finds inspiration in the wild beauty of the landscape and the seasonal changes. He says: ‘Being still is not a pastime many of us get to experience in our modern culture. This is the place to do it. Whether stood barefoot on a sandy beach looking out west, up high on a bracken-covered hilltop or out a clear, fresh night gazing up to the stars, there's nothing quite like it. I take pleasure in allowing myself these moments and this is why I, as a young artist, chose to stay here.’
