Media centre

There’s so much in Argyll and the Isles that’s worth talking about, from fabulous new attractions to the revival of centuries-old traditions. It’s great to spread the word and see our region in the headlines and filling the TV screens. If you’re a journalist or film-maker and would like to feature Argyll and the Isles, we’d love to help you. We can also check facts for you.

We maintain a list of journalists interested in visiting and hearing about Argyll and the Isles. If you’d like to be added to the list, please email us.

Media visits
There’s nothing quite like stepping into the shoes of a visitor and experiencing Argyll and the Isles and all it has to offer first hand. We’re always delighted to work with the media and facilitate press visits. If you have an idea for a feature, please get in touch and we’ll make every effort to provide the support and assistance you need. We can offer suggestions on things to do and places to see. We also host media visits. If you’d like to join one of our hosted media visits, please do get in touch.

Film location
With its dramatic landscapes, awe-inspiring castles and naturally cinematic light conditions, Argyll and the Isles is a fantastic film location. It looks great on screen and has been used for TV series, documentaries and films. We know the region inside out and can suggest film locations and help facilitate filming. We can arrange filming permission and even track down interviewees (there are plenty of colourful characters in the region!).

Argyll and the Isles is extremely photogenic. We have a database of images, much of which are available for use by the media. All we ask is that you credit the photographer. Please get in touch to find out more.
