Duart Castle

Duart Castle on the Isle of Mull dates back to the 13th century and is the ancestral home of the Clan Maclean. It's a stunning location; walk the battlements and lose yourself in the breathtaking view out across the Sound of Mull.

You can find out about the history of the clan, as well as explore the keep and dungeons, magnificent banqueting hall and Edwardian state rooms. There's also a tearoom and gift shop. Throughout the summer, the castle plays host to a number of events, including storytelling and outdoor theatre.

The castle was used as a location for the films Entrapment and When Eight Bells Toll.
