Aros Castle

Aros Castle, also known as Dounarwyse Castle, is a ruined 13th-century castle near Salenn on the Isle of Mull overlooking the Sound of Mull. It was probably built by one of the MacDougall Lords of Lorn and was once the major stronghold of the Lords of the Isles. You can walk around the castle at your own risk - take care and watch for loose masonry and hidden drops.
