Art Escapes Argyll

Art Escapes Argyll is an exciting programme for creative artistic collaboration, based around the renowned Tighnabruaich Gallery on Argyll's Secret Coast.

At the core of is a series of residential art workshops led by some of the gallery’s leading artists. Gallery owner, Robbie Baird, says the workshops are about 'bringing people together, in this wild and remote part of Argyll, to be inspired, to learn, to create and show work and to make memories and masterpieces.’

The residential workshops are held in Waterside - a unique space built – literally – on the seawall at the back of the gallery. It couldn’t be a more perfect venue for an art escape, with direct access to the gallery, a large studio space, open-plan kitchen and dining area and four luxurious en-suite bedrooms. The views over the Kyles of Bute are incredible and the deck is perfect for observing the ever-changing light and weather over the surrounding landscape. This experience will be deeply rooted in place and the local landscape, from which many of the gallery’s artists find inspiration.

Art Escapes Argyll also runs day workshops and a number of other creative collaborations and projects.
